NAC, in affiliation with NACCP, bases its' standards on research of quality are and best practices in the field of early childhood. NAC Accredited programs demonstrate compliance with the following: curriculum, interaction, parents, health and safety, and administration.

NAEYC accreditation examines interactions between staff and children, and the developmental appropriateness of the curriculum. Health and safety, staffing, credentials, physical environment, and administration are reviewed during accreditation, with primary consideration given to the nature of the child's experience.
